Cookies for Commenting in Blogs!

When I visited a blog I encountered the following snags in using the Comments form to share with my opinion about its post: the word for filling in Word Verification text box (CAPTCHA)did not appear for typing in; and also I could not have my Mail account signing in form in it! Later I found out the problem maker and got over the snags. Through Tools button, Options (Mozilla Firefox) I had blocked (accepting) the Third party cookies in Privacy button! After I unchecked the concerned radio button I was able to use the Comments form.

Mail Clients store mails in Computer!

I used a Mail client and found it much useful to me. Let us see what it is. You can read your emails offline in your computer and need not have the internet connection at that time! For this you need to use Mail clients such as Outlook, Eudora and Thunderbird. These receive all your messages from mail account pages - when there is internet connection, and keep them in their own pages ready to be read by you at anytime you like. These clients use POP3 or IMAP protocols for this. You can configure your Mail account, for example, Gmail, for their services by clicking on the Settings tab in the mail page and entering the details as instructed there in Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab of it, into the mail client's page in computer.

There are other advantages also in using the mail clients:

  1. You can compose and send emails from the mail client’s page itself.

  2. Such sending consumes lesser Mega bytes than that in our mail account.

  3. You can configure any computer for this from anywhere in the world.

  4. When you visit a blog, you can send email to the Blogger blog owner from his/her View My Complete Profile of blog page – if the email address link is given there.

WordArt changes on Uploading, Publishing...!

I created the greeting words for this Christmas in Word Art of MS Office 2007. When I uploaded it to the Google Documents, there it turned to a bluish line with the words in smaller font size! When I published the post in Blogger blog post there it remained the same unchanged but inside a white window, and it was not converted back to the original multicolored Word Art as expected. When I copied the greeting words and pasted in the Post Editor (Dash board, New Post), it turned to a mere black normal sized word line within a larger white rectangle!

Healthy Eyes for Computer Vision!

In doing computer work for long hours, one must first prepare himself/herself, the work place and then the computer for avoiding any eye ailment. The person must wear the spectacles if he or she has one for vision correction, sit erect on a firm chair, about 18 inches from the computer monitor screen, with monitor’s top about 3 inches above the eye level. The person must have slept well and be fresh; should have brushed, taken shower and food.

Next, the
place should be well lit uniformly both at day and night, with light source. There should not be any bright light coming from the background of the computer or any glare from the monitor’s screen formed due to reflection of the light source behind the person. The place should be a well ventilated one with amble space to walk about freely.

The computer monitor screen must be adjusted to have the optimum level of Contrast and Brightness suitable to the illumination inside the room.

Then while doing the computer work, the person must not go on and on reading or referring to the screen – key board must be used (typing work). At regular intervals, say every forty minutes, the person should take the eyes off from the computer and look at a distance, close the eyes and take a few deep breaths of air, or get up and walk a few paces around and have chat with colleagues, and then resume the work.

After the work is over and turning off the computer, the person can do eye exercises in fresh air to free the eyes from locking and then wash the face with cool water; go to bed earlier, not so late on that day of long hours of computer work, to have a good and healthy vision the next day!
