It has been given by the Alexa website itself that its site ranking for a blog is based upon the visits and page reviews by the Alexa users in a day! Alexa traffic ranking is also based on the usage patterns of Alexa tool bar users!
In the Alexa home page you can also compare websites’ traffic by entering their URLs in the Website Traffic Comparisons and clicking on Compare Sites button. Or you can proceed to get the detailed Alexa information for any blog /website by simply typing its URL in the text box of Site Info and clicking on the Go button: in a second you are provided with all the information about it!The Blog for the Web and Computer Users
