Each and everyone surfing the Internet see the letters, RSS somewhere constantly on any web page. Like this RSS, there may be letters as ATOM or a small orange square with white wave-like markings inside or small bars (Chicklets) are also seen . What are they? Do they have any function? Yes, they do have - if you know about them and use them! All of them are of similar nature. Taking RSS (Really Simple Syndication) as an example, it is a websites syndication (publication). Here, after finding out an interesting and useful blog or website, the web surfer informs (subscribes) about his/her wish for automatically intimating him/her, whenever there is a publication of a new post at that blog. (This updated posts are the 'Feeds' from the blog).
OK. How to read then the recent posts from the selected blog? For this RSS feed readers like Google Reader, Bloglines or Mozilla Reader are used. These provide the reading person with a window in which the titles of new posts from the favorite blog are seen brought in. You can click on any title in it and read the full post.
You know now about the RSS. How to use RSS? First sign up for an RSS reader; then click on the RSS or Chicklets found on the favorite blog.and subscribe in it. Next, log in to the RSS feed reader and read the recent posts from the blog! After clicking on more such favorite blogs, you can see all their recent posts in your RSS reader without visiting all those blogs!
For those using Mozilla Firefox browser: Mozilla Reader activation is quite easy: Simply click on the orange chicklet found on the address bar of the browser and subscribe to use Live Bookmarks. Then you can read recent blog posts from the browser itself! On the Menu bar click on Bookmarks --> Bookmarks Toolbar --> Blog's name in the list --> Blog posts titles --> select a title to read.
Having read all these and applying it in use you can save both your valuable time and money.
Bloggers, if you want to upload an image in Post Editor of Blogger for publishing it in a blog post, you shall upload that first and then proceed to type the text below it. But after typing the text first, if you want to upload the image below it, that image will be uploaded only above it! To bring the image below you shall click on the image, hold, drag it down and release the hold there. Here you cannot shift also the position of the image to the other places from the uploaded position (the left, center or the right)! You cannot insert images between already typed lines too! Yet you can insert images in these places in another way. Just copy the image from your computer file, place the Insertion Point at the needed place of insertion in the Post Editor and paste. But by default the image will be positioned to the left. To move it to the center or to the right, select it by left clicking on it and then just click once on Center-Align tool icon or the Right-Align tool icon found on the Post Editor Toolbar. You shall now see the image positioned and inserted in the desired place!
Do you want to get a copy of the attractive scene from a movie that is being played on the computer? For that, you shall do as follows:

2) Click on Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> open Paint -> click on Edit -> Paste -> Select All -> Copy To -> select My Documents -> enter the file name and Save it!
If VLC Media Player is being used,
1) Simply right click on the playing screen and click the Snapshot when the required scene appears.
2) Now move on to My Pictures, search and find in it the copy of the image and Rename it with right click ob it. That's all!
Now you can use the image for sharing it with friends or as a wall poster on desktop or for publishing it in blog!
While you are working at office, if you see your friends' messages in your Inbox, it will cheer up you, is it not? Google Buzz does that for you. It is a social networking application included in the Gmail account. With it you can share ideas within your friends circle or make them public for viewing by all. Photos and websites can be brought into it and viewed whenever needed.
Using Gbuzz! In Gmail inbox click on the tab, Buzz found in the left sidebar. Click on the message box, Save your profile first and begin texting and sending.
Disabling Gbuzz! If you find that your privacy suffers, you can Turn off Buzz in Confirm your Buzz setup or click on Settings tab on the right upper corner of Inbox, click on the Buzz tab shown at the last. In the Disable Buzz, click on Disable Google Buzz and then Save Changes.
Recently, measures are being taken to make Gbuzz more conducive and congenial.
I find the alphabet 'J' at the end of all the emails sent by my son. On inquiring about it he said that he did not send anything like that! Later I remembered that in the past he used to write always a smiling emoticon :) at the end of his all snail mails. Only that smiling emoticon is converted into 'J' while the email is in the process of sending! I confirmed that with my son. The question is how and why the emoticon is converted into 'J'. I first intended to end this post with a request to the readers to respond to that with a reply. But an hour's search and re-search in Google's search results provided me with the answer! My son is sending his emails from Microsoft Outlook and I am receiving them in Gmail. The emoticon :) that he sends is converted into 'J' by Gmail as it does not recognize it! That's all! You see here --> how and why of it!
I cannot say I discovered first this conversion of emoticon. Read from the links below others' experience, expressions and advices about it!
